Beware these beeswax wraps cheaply made in China

See a familiar pattern? Websites & shops are awash with these cheaply made in China beeswax wraps. There's no way to back up claims about what they're really made of, that they're organic or even food safe. Is it beeswax or petroleum-based paraffin? Are they 100% cotton or cheaper polyester? Is it really Jojoba oil or something less expensive that's not safe for food? Jojoba oil is around 10x more expensive than heating oil, for example. Not a comfortable thought when wrapping your family's food.

Sellers get them for a quid or two from Alibaba, mark them up 400% or 500% - a fabulous margin for them at customers' expense - and sell them on Amazon or their websites. We even found counterfeit Bee's Wraps on Alibaba!

There are hundreds of these wraps for sale on Alibaba, sometimes for pennies. There is no quality control or assurances that either the wraps or the workers who make them are safe.

Trust and safety shouldn't be the price paid for being eco-friendly.
